Toys R Us
1851 Sunrise Highway
Bay Shore NY
On a recent visit to this store, the customer seeking a board game, Battleship, had a very and unpleasant visit due to the ineptness and helplessness of store employees and the apparent lack of ability which exists there.
The customer, after searching for the game in the aisles of the store where the game should have been located, turned to store personnel for assistance.
At the Customer Service counter the customer inquired of the availability and whereabouts of the game and was told by a "Customer Service" employee to look in the "board games aisle." The customer replied that they already had done this. The CSR then shrugged her shoulders and said, Well, maybe then we just don't have it!"
The customer, then noticing a computer keyboard and screen on the back counter of the CSR's area asked if perhaps the game title could be "looked up" on the store's electronic inventory.
The CSR replied, "Well, we're very busy now trying to help customers find what they are looking for!"
What idiots! THIS customer was looking for something!
Obviously this customer searching for a game to purchase there is not really regarded as a "customer" but rather an annoyance who was there to hinder the CSR's in assisting real "customers."
It seems to us that this "customer" was just as valid and valuable as any other customer and that there was absolutely no reason to suggest that other customers needed help more than THIS customer!
It's nice to know that you can be regarded as an "annoyance" at TOYS R US!
There are other toy stores in Bay Shore and the surrounding areas.
We would rather shop THEM than TOYS R US!
